Smart-ID’s Technology Heads to Armenia

Smart-ID's proven split key technology is heading to Armenia through a partnership between SK ID Solutions and local trust service provider imID. The collaboration brings Smart-ID's internationally recognized authentication and digital signing capabilities, already trusted by millions across the Baltics, to Armenian users.

The imID Digital ID mobile app meets European eIDAS standards and supports Armenia’s digital transformation goals, enabling secure access to financial services, telecommunications and government services for citizens, businesses and public institutions.

imID was established in 2024 by Armenia’s leading banks and telecommunications companies to provide reliable electronic identity solutions across the country. The partnership combines SK ID Solutions’ two decades of digital identity expertise with imID’s local market knowledge and infrastructure, opening doors for future cross-border digital cooperation.
